We would like to invite you for the first International Traditional Sandstone Climbing Week in the Czech Republic. The trad sandstone climbing is a very specific kind of rock climbing and in the area of Adršpach you can find more than 3000 routes leading to the tops of amazing sandstone spires.
You can already make your transport and other arrangements.
The Czech Mountaineering Federation´s (CMF) International Traditional Sandstone Climbing Week will be held in Adršpach, the area best known for its daring cracks and friction routes among others. As an international guest you will be accompanied by Czech host climbers.
There will be interesting presentations in the evenings given by some Czech best climbers.
To take part in this event climbers must be experienced in rock climbing. The experience with trad climbing is recommended but not necessary, the level of climbing skills should start from 6a (in French grade) upwards.

TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATION
Representatives are responsible for making their own travel arrangements to the Czech Republic.
Nearest airport – Prague, nearest train station – Adršpach.
The CMF will collect guests on Sunday, 16 September at the Prague Airport or meet in Adršpach.
The event is highly subsidised by the CMF and there will be a nominal fee of 100 /150 € /person to help offset the cost. The 100€ fee includes all meals and accommodation in cabins (sleeping bags advised), the 150€ fee includes staying in the hut.
HOW TO APPLY
Please complete the application form by 31 March 2012!
Federations are recomended to send two climbers - ideally one female and one male, but in case of interest it is possible to send more climbers! Please note only one Federation per country. Climbers must be 18 years of age or older.
IF THE MEET IS OVER SUBSCRIBED THEN PLACES MAY BE REDUCED TO ONE PER COUNTRY.
The CMF will contact all applying Federations by email by 16 April 2012. Please do not make any bookings (flights, trains etc) until you have had confirmation of your places from the CMF.
